Equipment Update

So, I finally got to take my new handgun that I purchased out to the range last week.

I was well impressed.

It definately outshoots me, thats for sure. After putting 200 rounds through it without a single issue, I can also confirm it’s reliability. I also tried the spent cartridge trick mentioned in the review, and just like the reviewer’s, mine fed flawlessly every time.

Also, I got some new grips for it. Check it out.

Meet the Author

Posted in Misc Stuff at 9:24 PM on December 28th, 2008 by Dicion

So, I’m pretty sure most of the people who read this blog, know me personally. However, there are also some who do not. So I figure I’d post up this nice pic of me, taken last year.

So, there you have it. Yes, I am in full ACU’s and a Tactical MOLLE Vest. I am, however, missing my thigh holster, and most of the magazine pouches I have on my vest, as well as my tactical 3-day backpack with hydration system. Yes. I have all of this, ready to go, at a moments notice. And you thought I was just kidding…

Samurai Zombie – Movie

I have great friends. They all know about my planning for Z-Day (They call it ‘that rediculous zombie obsession’, but whatever), so this was just passed across my desk to me.

I’m still looking for a version with subtitles… but Zombies.. Samurai zombies… thats a pretty intense oshi- factor right there.

To me, it almost looks like a Japanese Evil dead with zombies… in otherwords.. AWESOME.

Art. They say you can make it from anything, the limit is only our imagination.

Zombie Apocafest 2008 is a sculpture about the forthcoming… well, you should know by now.

Did I mention, it’s done completely in lego?

Awesome

Hurricane Ike

Posted in Misc Stuff at 6:00 PM on September 28th, 2008 by Dicion

Well, we survived hurricane Ike down here, which is a good thing. Another good thing it did, was illustrate how dumb and panicky and unorganized some people are.

The hurricane was coming for days. Now, most people, you’d think, would do the smart thing and stock up on everything before it came, and then they’d be set for the time after is passed until things returned to normal, and yes, lots of people did this.

However, lots of people did not.

After it passed, and there was no power anywhere, and traffic signals, etc were all down, apparently then, and only then, people realized “Oh, crap, I don’t have any gas”, but unfortunately, all the stations had no power, and couldn’t pump any. This lead to HUUUUGE lines for gas at any open station, until it sold out (quickly).

I even heard of someone getting stabbed somewhere in the city over a spot-in-the-gas-line arguement.

Apparently, grocery stores with power were also getting completely slammed, and shelves were picked bare of all instantly edible foods.

Meanwhile, I was sitting in my living room, with enough candles to last me a few years, eating canned food, which I had enough of to last a few years, watching TV running on a generator, for which I had 50 gallons of gas stored prior to the hurricane.

Seriously though people, my point is: Pre-planning is key, for ANYTHING. Do it NOW, before it’s too late. If you’re waiting in line for gas on Z-day, guess what. You’re zombie food.
