On the coattails of that last post, there are some other ‘Totally Useless’ Zombie things out there. For example…
I’m sorry, but if a single shotgun with 4 or 5 rounds is your ‘zombie survival arsenal’, you won’t make it out the front door. These people that make these and hang them on their wall are only doing it as a joke, and are not taking this seriously. If I were to put something behind glass and label it “In Case of Zombies”, it would look more like this:
Now THATS an anti-zombie arsenal, of course, mine would be loaded, with spare ammunition as well. It’s also missing some good swords still…
I would also like to take this time to say that Burt Gummer, from the movie ‘Tremors’ would be the guy I would most like to have with me on Z-day. He’s got the right mentality, and the firepower to match.

It’s a good idea and all, but at what point inbetween dacapitating zombies, and escaping to your countryside bunker will anyone seriously have time to fill these out and post them?
Besides, we all know that people do 2 things when something the scale of a zombie invasion happens:
1) They become stupid(er then usual)
2) They Panic
Even if you actually stopped and put up the sign, it would not be read, and it would probably be knocked down by a mob of people all climbing over each other trying to save themselves, while at the same time trampling the 6yo kid beneath them. Mob mentality & Panic means that everything sane and intelligent goes out the door.

If you haven’t figured it out by now, this blog is about my life’s aspiration of preparing for, and surviving, the forthcoming Zombie Apocalypse.
Some may find this silly, others may say “But what about more pressing matters? The Economy? The Housing Market?…” and so on. Well, I am not qualified to deal with those, and any information I presented on those issues would just be my opinion. I figure I’ll let more qualified people deal with that… besides, those things will cease to matter altogether once Z-Day comes.
That’s where I hope to be of use.
Hopefully, we still have enough time left. Then I can get as much information out to those interested via this blog as possible, and maybe, just maybe, if you pay attention, you might survive Z-Day.
So, lets begin.
First, if you do not own a copy of The Zombie Survival Guide: Complete Protection from the Living Dead, By Max Brooks, purchase it now. This is the single most important item you will need to survive. Most of what I present here will be based on information in that book.
Secondly, Always have a plan. A bad plan is better then no plan, and a good plan is better still. Even if you do not have everything you think you may need to survive, always have a plan based on what you currently have, and how you can attempt to survive if Z-Day should come suddenly, before everything is in place.
In closing, I also have a real life. I do not dedicate my entire waking hours towards preparing for zombies, as much as I would like to. You need to fund your zombies preparation somehow, and as such, I have a day job, and do other things. I may cover some of that here as well. I believe that being able to read about my former life may help morale once Z-Day comes, and morale will become one of the largest problems after the initial attack and escape.
