So, I’m pretty sure most of the people who read this blog, know me personally. However, there are also some who do not. So I figure I’d post up this nice pic of me, taken last year.

So, there you have it. Yes, I am in full ACU’s and a Tactical MOLLE Vest. I am, however, missing my thigh holster, and most of the magazine pouches I have on my vest, as well as my tactical 3-day backpack with hydration system. Yes. I have all of this, ready to go, at a moments notice. And you thought I was just kidding…

Samurai Zombie – Movie

I have great friends. They all know about my planning for Z-Day (They call it ‘that rediculous zombie obsession’, but whatever), so this was just passed across my desk to me.

I’m still looking for a version with subtitles… but Zombies.. Samurai zombies… thats a pretty intense oshi- factor right there.

To me, it almost looks like a Japanese Evil dead with zombies… in otherwords.. AWESOME.

New Equipment

I’ve always been fond of M1911′s. They’re widely considered one of the most reliable handguns of all time. I Mean, there’s still original issues from 80+ years ago floating around for sale on the internet, that work perfectly. The design has been slightly modified over the years, but for the most part, it has remained pretty much the same.

Anyways, I went to the local gun show today, and picked up Colt’s Newest 1911 offering, their second release of the Combat Elite 1911. A very nice review can be found Here. The Reviewer had a slight problem during the review, however. He was attempting to show someone how to clear a misfeed, but, could not get the gun to actually jam. He even tried loading spent cartridges in an attempt to force it, but lo and behold, it fed the spent cartridges just fine as well. How’s that for ya?

Here’s a nice pic for ya.

Training…

Fear not children, I have not dissapeared. I have simply been using the past month to research possible Z-day scenarios, via Fallout3 and Left4Dead!

Granted, Fallout3 is more about post-apocyliptic nuclear war, but do you really think that the zombies will rise without any response from the government? It will be fast, yes, but I still think they’ll manager to get a few nukes out the hatch in an attempt to ‘control the situation’. Notice I said attempt.

They’ll make a radio/tv address, saying that ‘the city of (insert first major city to be hit by zombies) is too fargone to save, so in the interest of protecting the rest of the country, we will be nuking it now.’

It will be too late, however.

Soon they will be nuking cities left and right, not to ‘protect the rest of the country’ anymore, but rather in a desperate attempt to prevent themselves from getting hit.

Also too late.

They’ll call out the military, national guard, et all. Soon they’ll be strafing small town suburbia with cluster bombs… all in an attempt to control the uncontrollable.

… Sounds like nuclear war enough for me… and we won’t ever even have to leave our own shoreline.

So yes, in that regard, Fallout3 could be considered relevant to surviving in post-apocyliptia.

Left4Dead is just damn fun :)
