Other useless junk

On the coattails of that last post, there are some other ‘Totally Useless’ Zombie things out there. For example…

I’m sorry, but if a single shotgun with 4 or 5 rounds is your ‘zombie survival arsenal’, you won’t make it out the front door. These people that make these and hang them on their wall are only doing it as a joke, and are not taking this seriously. If I were to put something behind glass and label it “In Case of Zombies”, it would look more like this:

Now THATS an anti-zombie arsenal, of course, mine would be loaded, with spare ammunition as well. It’s also missing some good swords still…

I would also like to take this time to say that Burt Gummer, from the movie ‘Tremors’ would be the guy I would most like to have with me on Z-day. He’s got the right mentality, and the firepower to match.

You only need one or two guns, preferably shotguns, to clear large crowds of zombies at once. However, the amount of ammo you have to carry in order to make it worthwhile at all, you’d have to leave behind other important things, ie. food, water, etc. Swords are just generally a better idea :p

  2. Dicion Says:

Exactly… A Blade is the most important weapon you can carry. Personally, My personal load out while traveling would be A shotgun, 2 handguns, a Rifle for long range picks, and my Sword.

you both incorrect. Main weapon is a small rifle. preferably a carbine with .32 caliber rounds. try to get the ones from the wars. The butt stocks are made of a tight grain wood. Second firearms is a pistol. I repeat NO REVOLVERS.. long reload times. I would suggest a Acp .45 or a 1191 handgun. shotguns are yes good at close range and have that wall stopping effect. but shells are bulky, and range is quite small. Remember your supposed to saty away and avoid zombies as much as possible. Rifles are good. Go with a small caliber round like a .32. Bigger rounds dont mean bigger kills. They take up to much room for much needed supply’s and are a waste of time. Swords discontinue right away. machetes are more reliable and dont breakdown as a sword does. Swords have short reach but why have a zombie in your personal space when you can avoid them. If all around purpose use a crowbar. multi task and hardly break.

well my wepons of choice would be of course a shotgun i dont care what anyone says that is manditory for klling zombies a hunting rifle maybe a 30-06 with a scope for long rang as many pistols as my legs can carry and a matchete for very close combat
ohh and of coarse the manditory zombie killing apperal a cigar

  5. Dicion Says:

Agreed. Thats my planned armament. A Katana for 0-5′, A handgun, A Combat shotgun for 5′-50′, and I’m actually considering a FNAR currently. It’s a semi .308 with a 20round magazine. Could serve both medium and long-range needs simultaneously.

the dude is right on the machette.
thats your left defence if you runs out of ammo.

always carry a pistol ( with one round left for yourself if bad comes to worst) i would recomend something with a silencer so you dont wake up the hole neighberhood when you have to clean up your shelter.

a shotgun is a must, it clears everything that comes to close for you in an emergency and has stopping power.

further more you can pick your own poisen but i DO NOT recoment something fully automatic… with that chances are that you wil waste to mutch ammo.

keep it simple but most of all balance it with effeciency.

and comments on this are welkom im always open for new sugentions and fresh ideas:P

for those of you saying “oh a katana would be good” you are idiots. you do not have the training to use any sort of sword correctly, a crow bar or trench shovel would be much more effective and much more multi-purpose. infact a folding shovel (availible at most army surplus stores) can be used for everything from cooking breakfast to being a makeshift axe. as for weapons, an MP5 would be very good, because it has a very large clip uses rather small rounds and has the accuracy of a rifle. also it is very quiet and would not draw much attention. also, despite common belief if you have a good place to hunker down a sniper rifle is probably one of the best weapons you could have. it can be used to keep zombies at a distance.

  8. Noheli Says:

I would take guns AND swords off all kinds and ALOT of reloads

  9. Joseph Says:

Smart, you ae wrong on one point. I have had training for 3 1/2 years on the use of a sword. My weapons would be an ar-15 , my longsword to back it up and my dagger for indoors(hallways)
